Our Story
Join the Music
For nearly 60 years, The Bay Chorale has brought people together through the power of song. Founded in 1965 by Walt Cramer, Dr. Fred Brenner, and James Leonard, our choir was built on a simple dream—to create a space where singers from all walks of life could share their passion for music. What began with 120 volunteer voices and a debut concert for 700 people has grown into a beloved community tradition.
Today, under the direction of John Rickert and accompanist Kristin Neubecker, we continue to inspire audiences with a dynamic repertoire spanning jazz, gospel, Broadway, and contemporary choral works. From high school auditoriums to historic venues like the State Theatre, our performances bring people together across Bay County, Saginaw, and Midland.
As we approach our 60th season, we invite you to be part of the journey—whether as a singer or an audience member. Come experience the joy of live music and the welcoming spirit of The Bay Chorale!
